New here and new screw

Just stopping by to check things out. I just bought an '07 white sand 4x4 Lariat Screw. Seeing what I need to do to it first. Sounds like the AF1 intake is the way to go. I need to figure out an exhaust at some point I'd like it too be fairly loud. Any input? How about programmers? I'll stop now. Thanks ahead of time! No pics I haven't picked it up yet.

Welcome...and get your wallet out. AF1 or the volant CAI seem to be the most popular. I've got a Magnaflow dual out exhaust that sounds nice but isn't loud enough for some. As far as programmers most prefer the Edge EVO.

Welcome and congrats on the new truck. I have an AF1 3" tube on my truck and wouldn't ever go back to stock, instant improvement. Also have the Xcal II & Troyer tunes (hopefully tunes will be in this week) on order. Like Bridge said get your wallet out because once you start modding it's very hard to stop.

Picking up the truck tomorrow! Picked out wheels today hopefully it looks good. What are the benefits of the custom tunes vs the Edge tuners? I'm familiar with custom tunes and the concept because of my Cobra.(also familiar with spending money on mods) Is there more gain from a custom tune vs the Edge for example?

I would love to see someone do a unbiased test and see just what the diff is between the programers, I do know that i read a mag article that CLAIMED that they installed a edge evo and got a 50 hp increase. I went with the edge just because of the fact that i like the being able to monitor the different engine and tranny info . I will say that It has been a Wonderful mod to my truck.04 screw with 5.4, 40 series sido flow airaid Modular intake tube K & N drop in replacement airfilter and the edge evo

I have The Edge Evo, Flowmaster SIDO and K & N dropin. There has been only one guy post that he dynoed his truck after installing the Edge and I think it showed about 25 HP gain. That seems about right to me as far as what I "feel" my truck has done. I do think that if all out performance is your quest, then custom tunes from Troyer are the way to go, along with the AF1 and Magnaflow exhaust. I wanted sound of the Flowmaster and the gauges provided by Edge and its been exactly what I wanted.

One day and one door ding! Dealer said they'd fix it. How hard is it to open a door without banging the big white thing next to you? Would like the exhaust to be very noticeable. I love the super 40s on my old Mustang but that's a little different.

That's why I take the last spot in the parking lot. I'll walk to save a door ding.

Damn nice looking truck. Congrats on the purchase and welcome!
