Question Dumb Questions

I have a "Lariat". What is the differences between mine and a "Non-Lariat"?

Do I have a Styleside or Flareside?

Since mine is not a 4X4, does that make it a 4x2 or FX2?

Thanks for putting up with my dumb questions. This is my first truck, had it about 3 weeks now, and cant stop thinking about "whats next".

Thanks in advance!!
Eddie

4x2 Styleside.

As, for the differences, can't answer.

I'll bite. The Lariat is the highest trim level, short of a King Ranch or Harley edition. The Lariat has more "bells and whistles" compared to an XLT or FX4.

Your truck is a styleside.

I believe the FX2 is an appearance package introduced for 2006 models (someone correct me if I'm wrong). So I would say your truck is a 4X2.

The "Lariat" is one of 7 basic trim levels for the F-150.

Your truck is a 4X2. The FX2 is a trim package.

The various models stack up (by base price):
XL - Entry Level, no frills.
STX - Entry Level, with frills (Sporty).
XLT - Standard Model, All Purpose Truck. Lots of upgrades available.
FX2 - Sporty Version of the XLT.
FX4 - Sporty Off-Road Model. Lots of upgrades available.
Lariat - Standard Luxury Model
King Ranch - High-End Luxury Model
Harley Davidson - Pimped with high end Harley embossed stuff

The XLT and the Lariat are the most common F-150's I see on the road. The FX4 is probably the most sought after model (I'm biased).

Thanks for the responses. Not sure why mine would be classified as luxury, dont get me wrong, I love my truck, but just because my pedals can be adjusted electronically shouldnt define luxury. I do however think my rear AUTOMATIC window is cool.

So 4x2 styleside! Sweet!! Now I can tell others.

Thanks guys (and girls I suppose)
