Another thing I hate is the odometer works too well.

Steering Wheel Controls

There are four controls on the right side of my steering wheel.
Volume. Seek. Temp. Fan.

"Seek" is the most annoying feature on my F-150

The owner's manual says "Press SEEK to select preset stations or the next strong station within the selected radio band."

If I wanted to scan through every G-D station on the dial... well... I would, but I DON'T; I want to cycle through the stations THAT I LIKE (the pre-set stations).

The way the manual is worded, it seems like there should be a way to CHOOSE whether the "Seek" button cycles through all station or just the pre-sets but... well, if there is, it doesn't say how.

Oh, and if you press the "back side" of the "Seek" button... say, because you want to "seek" to the beginning of a track on your CD or "seek" the previous station on the FM dial (or preset station, if that worked properly)... it switches the audio from CD to FM or FM to FM2 or AM. That's clever.

And I never use "Temp" of "Fan" either... since you have to shift your focus to the dash (to see where the Temp is set before you start adjusting it)... it seems pointless to have a control on the steering wheel when you're looking at the dash anyway. And the Fan takes care of itself (isn't that what climate control is for?) so these two buttons are just a waste of real estate. One of those buttons could be used to cycle through audio inputs (from CD to FM to AM), freeing up the back side of the seek button to seek backwards.

I wish I could take the steering wheel off my maxima and put it in the truck.

And I'm pretty happy that this is the worst thing I have to gripe about.

my list:

the window lock on the arm rest. Wimpy and not a firm engage - arm hits it = dogs engage window in rear and nearly choke themselves! We need to disconnect that sucker.

the center arm rest on bench seat is awkward for tall ppl to get coffee cup out of cup holder. the dash cupholders are too far away. need a better place for ashtray

the door pockets are sharp plastic and even my chick hand can get a tight fit in there. Hubby has trouble getting his hands in there.

the heat will blast you out! wish i had a sunroof for ventilation.

i love the door locks since i'm absent minded

love the seat belt minder unless i am only driving a short distance. again absent minded so it helps.

HATE rear bed visibility with hard tonneau cover.

i need to pick up a locking gas cap - keep forgetting.

otherwise, LOVE the truck and will never be w/o a screw in the drive. Yotas will never do for me again

06 XLT S. Crew here.
Grey cloth interior is absolutely the worst!!

SO many stains on them now that I don't even bother to clean them anymore.
I paid to have them professionally done twice and "some" of it cleaned up but heck it left water stains that were just as bad!!

I have more likes than dislikes on my truck over all I am very happy with it.

I will add one more comment.....

With the 5.4 it seems like it has "just enough" power. I can only imagine how slow it would be with a less powerful 5.4 or dare I say a 4.6..

after 2 months...

Still in the honeymoon phase with mine and am still in love. The dash layout on the radio, chrome pieces, lighting, metallic dash color accents and leather are all good! With the 5.4L and 3.55 rear end, I'm getting 16 city and almost 20 highway (with a tonneau on the bed) which is 3 and 5 MPG better respectively than my old '02 screw that also had the 5.4L and the 3.73 diff. Schweet!

Only thing I'd like to see is a smoother city ride (compared to higher end Silverado and Turdras I drove, the screw is 3rd place for city ride). Interstate cruising is smooth enough though at any speed up to 80. Gas mileage drops like a rock over 65 though and I'm not planning to break any land-speed records in my baby.

I have had my KR Screw for 12 months now. The only dislike I have is the mileage. 13.2MPG combined.

The truck is 5.4l, 4x4, 5.5' bed, 100% stock drivetrain. It loves gas.

I have an easy right foot. Sure wish I could believe the 17+MPG stories posted, but...

Other than the mileage, love the truck!

Have had our truck for about 5 months.
List goes

1. Seats need better support, I slide all over the place in this thing.
2. Have to keep ashtray open, when closed vibrates like crazy
3. Does not play mp3's
4. Seat belt chime is so loud.
5. Tonneau cover is way too tall

Other than that love the truck.

Getting 9.7mpg. Shouldn't complain since it is a truck with over 200,000. All I want for christmas is a avg. of 11mpg, please? :santa:
