Question Will I win

I have an 05 f150 supercrew 5.4 3v 2wd

I have an afe intake, flowmaster exhaust, 4.56 gears for 35 inch tires, and an edge evo level 3 tune.

My friend has an 06 toyota tacoma 4wd bone stock
He claims he can beat me in the 1/8 mile

I read the specs on the toyota seems fast

I know he is lighter than me but i'll think i'll win, my truck is fast off the line with 4.56 gears. Should I be worried or not, because he talks so much **** and I want to shut him up.

Just let me Know, thanks

You should make this a poll.

I think the Tacoma will win by a bunch.
Let us know how it goes.

Ford Vs Toyota

Hey just do what I did, I have a 4.6 and one of my buddies had a Tundra and all I had to say was ok hook up a trailer and lets go driving. After that all I ever heard was silence. Now as far as racing goes, the Tundra has a very good possibility of winning just cause the trucks are faster. They can't tow or haul worth anything but they are faster and have been for quite some time.

1/8 mile? who races that? why wont he go a 1/4? You've got the edge tuner I'd say take him on there's only one way to find out. So what if you lose, what if you win.

Racing 5000+ pound trucks! Who cares?

You've got a bigger, more capable truck than your bud with mods for looks and performance. Almost every mid-sized sedan can out accelerate you. Why does this one truck matter?

Oh

Oh I forgot to mention I am running 100 octane gas with the timing on the edge up all the way up, and changing my 35's to 33's on 4.56 gears. It hauls *** I, havent tried to run 0-60 or quarter miles on edge because theres alot of hills around my neighbor hoodand this would mess with my timing on the edge 0-60 or quarter mile times. you think ill win now.

Talking Smoked Him

I put my friends 33's on my truck with the 4.56 gears ran a little higher octane gas and upped the timing. we took off when the light turned green(at the track), he barely churped off the line I burned out and caught traction after and beat him by 1 and a half car legnth.

his 1/8 mile time was 10.32
My 1/8 mile time was 9.84

That does not seem like a big difference he told me, but I told him that in drag racing thats a tremendeous difference, thats 1/2 a second I beat him by.

He tried to tell me I cheated with the 33's, but I told him, "hmmm lets see, your truck weigh 5000 pounds, and my truck weighs 7000 pounds, you got 2000 pounds on me and I still smoked ya bitch".

The moral of this race is I spun off the line and still beat him, If I had my 35's i'd probably do better because I wouldent have spun off the line. all and all those toyota tacomas aren't ****, and all you guys doubted me, ford does it again.

Hell yeah, I beat me a new tacoma as well. He wouldn't let me in the lane, and mine was about to end, so It came down to a race. Given he was a new V6, and mine a V8, but that's why I'm a V8 fan. I got the lane! I run 33's with stock 3.55 (which I hate and hopefully soon will have 4.56)
