Houston, We have a build date.

My new truck (2007 FX4 Supercrew) is scheduled to be built the week of April 9. I just ordered it last week so I was surprised to have the VIN and build date so quickly.

I ordered my Screw KR like 2-19-07 and the build date was today , 3-19-07 (or the week of). The scheduled delivery week is 3-26-07, according to the VOPC phone number. Damn I am getting impatient.

I am excited about it as I have never bought a new vehicle before, let alone order it exactly how I want it.

Now I just have to hope that Ford extends the 0% for another month or that the new incentives are just as good or better.

As I drive my new 2007 to work tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you guys!

I don't know what Ford did, but my 2007 FX4 has quite a bit more get-up-n-go than my 2005 FX4. It's also much more quiet... almost no engine noise at all, no head liner rattle, no squeaks, no bed/tail gate rattle, no electric rear window rattle... and they actually put some padding in the captain's chairs! Finally Ford made a comfortable leather captain's chair!

I ordered a Lariat Screw last Friday. I have not heard from the dealer about build date, however he did tell me he ordered one two weeks ago and the build date was May.

I really did not want to take delivery before June, the dealer told me if it got deliered early it could sit on the lot 30 days - so we will see.

I did not want to miss out on ordering an 07 and with the 08's being released earlier and earlier I did not know when the cut off to order was. The F250's were cut off in Feb.

Anyway, cograts to you guys - exciting, I have been driving a Honda Accord for eight years (and I worked for Ford Motor Credit for 6 of those). Of course we purchased an Exploder and and Expedition for my wife during that time and I was able to drive a company vehicle.

I belive the cut off for the 07's is July.

What made you want an 07 instead of an 08 F-150?

I ordered my Lariat the Feb. 9th. Build date 3/19/07 as well. I do not have a delivery date yet. I am getting tired of my '04 FX4 reg. cab so I drove my '03 Lightning today. I never get tired of it, but it was the 1st time I've had it out since last fall.

Houston, We have (the same) build date.

Congratulations. I ordered my 2007 F-150 on March 9th and was told the build date will also be April 9. Delivery should be a couple of weeks after that, can't wait!

If it is as good as my 2001 is I will have another winner. At 94k miles it still has the original battery and brakes. Other than a couple of COPs it has been as flawless as you can expect.
