bed extender with Century cap?

Quick question--

I am considering buying a bed extender for my SCrew very soon. However, I want to get a Century truck cap next year.

Can they co-exist? I.e.-- will the bed extender still be able to swing out with a truck cap installed?

thanks in advance
Scott

A lot depends on the design of the cap. Some caps are higher in the rear, and some are no taller than the cab of the truck. If the sides of the rear opening tilt in too soon, the bed extender won't clear. To be sure, you will need to measure the height of the bed extender at the top of its swing; then, measure the width of the opening of any potential cap at the same height. Suggestion: Ask the cap vender if he knows if his model xxxx cap is compatible with the bed extender.

my SCrew is an 03, but i'm pretty sure I have run with the topper and the extender on at the same time. had a long load so I was runnning with the talegate and extender down, topper locked closed. might be a different story on the 06. but, if nothing else, you can always unhook it and lock it back down in.
