Loading ATV in Supercrew

I have a 06 Supercrew 5.5 foot bed, does anyone have suggestions on a good set of ramps to load a Yamaha Kodiak into the bed, I want some that can be strapped down so that the ramps do not slip out.

Do you think the tailgate can support that, I have seen a lot of people do this.

Yes, you can fit an ATV in the back of your truck. Obviously, you need to keep the tailgate down which is no problem. I have heard though to be cautious about stones, ect. coming up off your rear tires and chipping the tailgate while it is down. I personally have never had this problem though, but I also have small rear mudflaps.

I would recommend going with a set of 48-50" wide aluminum ramps. I use the A.P.I. bi-folding 50" aluminum ramp. They have chains on them that can attach to the cable supports on your tailgate for easy "safe" loading. Some ramps are fairly pricey, but they should last you for years!

Good luck!

Thanks for that point, I did not think about rocks chipping the tailgate.

Good Ramp

Here's what I use. It fits my '03 supercrew perfect, and the chains are just the right length to clip into existing holes on the side of the tailgate opening. Also, I've found on most larger 4 wheelers, you can fold the ramp and slide it right under the ATV for hauling. I can have the ramps set up to load, or put away literally in seconds.

Here's the link:

P.S. As for the tailgate, I never really thought about it. But it seems to be fine with anything I've loaded.
