VIN Number to Factory Optional Equipment?
Hello,
A couple months ago I picked up a used 2005 F-150 Crew Cab from a local dealership. A nice man at the dealeship explained to me how to add all of the factory options to arrive at the selling price...
I would like to know the facts, and am wondering if there is a way to obtain the information from the VIN#. I know that Carfax's $20 report was pretty useless. For example, do all Lariats come with reverse warning sensors, etc. The various trim level configurations are quite confusing.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The VIN only gives basic information such as model, year, engine etc.
Optional equipment such as backup sensors would not be there.
go to www.kbb.com and look up your vehicle and you should be able to get a good idea what was standard or optional.

The 2007 F-150 hasn't changed that much since 2005. See Ford's website for standard/optional equipment by trim level.
