Lightbulb A box question

Hi, I've got a 2001 S/Crew and I want to know if there are holes cut in the top of the box under the plastic covering. I want to make a boat rack that'll sit in the precut holes if they exist. I'd like to find out before I cut ....
Thanks in advance

I've seen some pics and the holes are there.
What is missing is the 'boot' inside the hole such as the beds with the plastic access cover.

The holes will work for 'compression fit' tiedowns and bedrails but your application is different.

You would be better served with a flat foot either bolted or C-clamped to the toprail.

Flaresides and Supercrews didn't get the 'pocket' inside the hole I believe because of the outerskin component material of the bed which is different from the styleside. 'No pocket' is why Ford did not provide easy access to the hole.
