Lightning front on a Supercrew?

I dont know if theres any other threads about this but I would like to know what will be involved in converting my front to a Lightning front? Is it a direct replacment and bolt on or will I need a whole new reinforcment? I'm just hoping its a matter of ditching the stock bumper, buying fogs & putting the bumper cover on haha. I've also considered the early model Harley lower valance but Lightning front would be most prefered. Any help appreciated

I believe it's a direct replacement.

Mine has a the Lightning "bumper" underneath the bumper cover - some have said the bumper cover will fit directly on to the SCrew bumper with a little modification (removing some trim pieces).

Thanks man, I am quite proud of it myself. I have spent a lot of time and money on it. However, it appears I might be getting rid of it in the near future. Wife is looking for a new car and when she does, I am taking her '01 BMW X5. The truck overall has been pretty good - had quite a few issues in the beginning and am currently on my third tranny, but I will be the first to admit that I am not the easiest of drivers. With an approx. 100-mile roundtrip daily, I am quickly approaching 170K miles on it and am ready for a change. I would like to keep it as a 3rd vehicle, but I really do not have room to keep it and I don't want to let it sit out and deteriorate outside. Plus the X will do everything the truck will do - actually more considering it is all-wheel drive.

I did the conversion to a 97...its real simple there are four brackets you buy from ford and then you remove the trim pieces and install the brackets then the cover/.

I have the L bumper on my Truck. Just remove all the plastic black trim peices and you will need two additional support brackets and it fits directly over the chrome bumper. I also have the upper and lower grille inserts and headlights and tail-lights. The rims from 01 have ben added and I even found a company in CA that sells ground effects fo the supercrew that look like stretched lightning ground effects. I essentially have a 4 door look alike with out the engine.

Good luck with you project. Here is a pic

one more before the pinstripes and ******* tonneau
