Good luck with you project. Here is a pic

Im guessing you bought a knock off Lightning bumper, because i was under the impression that the chrome and painted OEM bumper pieces come off, and the new one bolts onto the real bumper, and not just "slipping over the chrome bumper" as you describe

I put a lower valance on my old truck. I liked it better than changing the whole bumper.

I still have the wheels if anyone is intersted just email me bd4martin@yahoo.com

It (OEM) will slip right over the chrome bumper after you remove the top plate and valence. You can remove the chrome piece if you want and replace it with a black version of the same thing but there is no reason to do so.

That is correct about fitting over the chrome bumper. Just remove the plastic peices. Everything is OEM Ford except my ground effects.

Looks great! I think i'll order that bumper in a couple months. I'm still trying to get a Lightning bumper & I have seen some on ebay that have custom vents on the sides and all they look terrible. Then i'll just need to get it primed painted & clearedn, get fogs, and a billet grill for it & i'm set!

I have never seen those before, kinda cool, but I want to get rid of my chrome, plus in my opinion it looks better without seeing all the part lines ( top cover, chrome support piece, then the lower valance ) the Lightning bumper creating that all in one piece, much cleaner

What did you end up using for exhaust? I've been thinking about getting a cat-back for my 02. And I've been wondering if anyone has ever taken a Lightning cat-back and put it on a Supercrew. I'm assuming you'd have to add some length to it but I'm not sure about the hangers.

Why not just get Flowmaster? or Magnaflow?
