It is extremely easy. Just gotta have a 6" c-clamp and your basic hand tools. i can change the front in about 20 minutes total and the rear in slighly less time (more room to work). make sure you support the frame on car stands. i had an incident trying to use the jack about 5 months ago. Guy bumped the jack when i was putting the tire back on and it came down pinning my hand between the fender and the tire. Hurt like hell.

Never heard of such a thing. why would towing wear out your rear brakes? Makes no sense to me. Was it at the stealership? If not I'd take it in there and tell it is premature wear on the rear brakes and I want them replaced. I have 46k on my '03 KR Screw and I've towed my travel trailer with it from day one. My back pads still look like brand new. In fact, after I pull the trailer the front wheels always have a little more brake dust on them than usual, which again leads me to ask, why would the rears wear because of towing? I have yet to change out my pads on my truck with 46k miles on it. They still have more than half the life left on them.

ya i have... thats how i adj stick a flat screw driver in the back and adj.. ... but the backin up thing dont work.. im guessing the teeth on the adj.. are slightly worn...
i have an 05 screw and i had fronts replaced (rotors, pads, calipers) all done under warranty at 18,000, now they say my back rotors are warped and need replaced (dealer says they cannot be turned) i have 34,000 now and have been DISCUSSING this with ford for 10,000 miles they say it is to be repaired on my dime. my pads look like brand new, but warped rotors????????? never before had such a problem. The dealer mechanic told me (off the record) that they are cheap rotors made of cheap steel, and the brakes are too small for such a heavy truck. all said and done it
doesnt matter why they are having trouble with the brakes they should fix them and make the consumer happy, maybe then they wouldn't lose so much money. (just my opinion)
