Screw turn signal

Hello Can anybody tell me the easiest way to replace a turn signal bulb on the drivers side rear of my super crew..It is a 2001. Does anybody have manuals or a cheat sheet on how to do so.

Pop your hood, and remove the screw highlighted in this photo. Pull lens straight out (may require a good tug). Twist and remove bulb holder from back of lens, and change your bulb.

Sorry...you did say rear.

Drop the tailgate, and there will be two screws on the side of the post to remove. They are are recessed behind some round holes in the post. Same dealie... pull the screws, and tug straight out.

Another tip

Appears you got the job done OK this time. A mechanic friend of mine told me to put some grease on the end of the screw when you to replace it. That will help hold the screw to the driver as you insert into the blackness.

Fixed

Ok it finally stopped raining. I added grease to the bolt and removed the top one. " luckily it fell threw on the ground...The second bolt fell out too but in the housing couldn't get it out. Finally I got smart and devised a grabber using the cardboard from a coat hanger and fitting a nut driver into it and then wrapping it with electrical tape. I reached down and bamo got the bolt. The bulb was shot and I replaced it. I checked the signal and it works...Thanks so much for your advise.

yah ive dropped the screw into that hole, really sucks, it took me 45 minutes in the dark with a flashlight just to figure out where the hell it went. After i found its location i just used one of those telescoping pen magnets and fished it right out.

Glad it all worked out for you
