i have a 01 SCREW with the 5.4 i put it in 4 low and the truck wouldn't move put it back to 4 high and then turned it off and still nothing if i put it in park it grind's so when i went to tow it i was on a slight hill put it in park and it rolled. WTF?

 

More info needed. What gear was the transmission in when you went from 2hi to 4hi, and to 4lo?
If you put it in Park and it rolled, you either broke the parking pawl (not likely), or the transfer case is stuck in neutral. If the TC is stuck in neutral, no gear will move the truck, but it will roll. Basically the same as pulling the driveshafts out.

well the TC is stuck in neutral. what do i do next? i think my electrinic shift motor is shot. i pulled it off the TC to shift it manual but no luck

 

Could be the motor, could be the control circuit, test the circuit before pronouncing the motor dead.
