when you hit the gas while moving? I have an '06 XLT 5.4L SuperCrew 4x4 that hesitates 1-2 seconds before it downshifts when I hit the gas (like to merge into HW traffic). I was told that it is normal at the dealer. Is it?

Sort of... that's from the stock programming. that's one of the main reasons aftermarket tuning is a must, it gets rid of that delay.

 

I had that on the 01 until I got my superchips tuner. Problem solved! WOT is very fun, but costly at $3.20/gal

 

I had it on my 05 until I the dealer reflashed the computer. That eliminated the problem. I now have the Edge tuner and that made it run even better.
