Another newbie

It feels good to be back in a Ford F150 after losing my mind and driving a Dodge Ram for a few years. Prior to that, the Ford vehicles I've owned include three F150s, a Ranger, and an Explorer Sport. I like this site and the forums are awesome so I decided to become a member.

My new truck:
2006 Ford XLT SuperCrew (Dark Shadow Grey)
4.6L V8, in-dash 6CD Changer/MP3, tow package, nerf bars, alloy wheels

Mods so far:
Rhino bedliner, Katzkin leather, K&N air filter

Mods to be added:
Tonneu cover, grill, exhaust, audio upgrades, bigger wheels and tires

Greggo

Having 3 f-150's means a lot of experience on f-150's. Welcome aboard!

Welcome to this forum and we are glad you have come back to FORD. You will get some of the best information at this site, get into some thought provoking issues, and in the long run learn a lot about the F-150. Mert

I have been considering the Katskinz leather also. I priced it out on the web site and then contacted the recomended installer. The installer wanted more than the leather cost to put it in. Did you do the install yourself, or did you have it installed? If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you?

WAS - I paid $1395+tax for the leather/install. I went through my dealer so it cost a little more (the two other installers I called quoted me $1300+tax) but for me it was worth the extra $100 to get my leather and bedliner done at the same time and only be without my new truck for 4 days. I got two-tone leather and it's a complete re-upholster, not just slip-on covers. I can tell you this, the Katzkin leather is sweet. It's softer and more supple than the factory leather in my wife's Explorer and it looks awesome. For me, it was well worth it.
