Cool Goodbye to my "01 SCrew

After 6 good years of use and around 86k miles on the clock, I decided to sell my SCrew and get something more economical on gas. It has been a good truck overall, and I'll miss it. It is a 2001 Lariat 4WD. The things that went wrong over the years were:
Front right hub replaced under warranty
Cruise control switch recall done under warranty
Wouldn't shift out of Park one time (brake-shift interlock jammed and left me stranded deep in the woods, fixed under warranty)
Idle air control valve replaced (out of warranty, did it myself)
Replaced pads twice and rotors once.
Little cap on the end of the shift (OD button) kept breaking. Currently missing.
Had the windshield replaced due to huge rock from a careless roadside lawnmower (made the establishment - a church - pay for it LOL).

I ran a PP Superchip and had a custom catback installed, as well as numerous other mods such as adding WMS velocity tube intake, foglight switch mod, clear Lightning tails, Line-X, tonneau, etc. I suppose I'll be returning the truck to stock and try to sell some of those items in the Classifieds section. Good thing I kept all the stock parts. Never noticed the tranny thunk; guess I'm lucky.

What did I replace it with? AHEM, not a truck (don't like the new Fords and probably will never buy another Ford), but a BMW 330i, which I really like, and a Lexus RX350 for the wife (I make a lot more money now since 2000 when I bought the truck). So I guess I am now banished from the F150 online community!

I will miss the truck, but I won't miss the gas bills. Enjoy your trucks, and we'll see y'all on the road!

Let us know how the BMW is holding up in 6 years. I love the BMW's but I have spent a small fortune keeping them running.

This is to funny. The Lightningcrew is up for sale too. And I am now driving an '01 BMW X5. The wife just got an '05 Mercedes SLK350.

Good luck - wish I only had 86K on my truck - I just rolled 168K!!
