Back Seat Windows

Has anyone heard of a way to mod the back seat windows so that they roll down all the way? I have a 2001 SuperCrew.

no i havent, i think it would have to be all re configured since the door isnt as wide, the scissor arms cant be wide enough to go all the way down.
But then again dodge has a skinnier door, and theirs go all the way down.

I believe the problem is they use the same rear door mechanism as the Expedition and Navigator. Those cannot go all the way down because the rear door is shaped around the rear wheel well. So even though our doors are wide enough the parts used are off the shelf from a door that is not.

Trade her in for a new one. My '05 Crew's rear windows go all the way down.

This idea has been thoroughly researched. Everyone's decided it is too much effort as no one has done it. The reason is indeed because the hardware is the same as the Expidition, as mentioned.

Thanks for the replies. A new one is out of the question. The new look hasn't grown on me yet. I like what I have.
