What type of Alarm systems have other Super Crew owners installed???
Did you do an enhancement to the factory keyless entry, or totally install over that one.

Anyone have Auto start, or Window/sunroof roll up at arming???

I put a factory Ford premium remote start alarm in my 05 FX4 Screw.I had keyless entry and the new system just goes in it's place and looks and works like factory with a zillion more features. This is what I bought and I got it on eBay for around 200 bucks.PART NUMBER 2W7Z-19G364-AA FACTORY ALARM/REMOTE START.Copy and paste the part number bit and use it on eBay.If your lucky you will be buying it from Nick.He was very helpfull. It is complicated to install so you may want to pay someone to do it.I did mine but it took a while and I had to get help from a guy named Travis on this forum.Travis installs and sells them too.He knows these systems inside out.Better yet search here for KCAutosound or go to www.KCAutosound.com. Travis will prewire your system for you so it will be much simpler than mine was.

How much does the unit cost at the dealer at employee type pricing? Probably still higher than the $200?

I know the master mechanic at a local ford dealer very well so he said he would install it cheap if I supply the parts

The dealer was rediculous as far as price on the unit and the install but I didn't have any connections either. You should really get ahold of KCAutosound. He is an expert on these systems since he works for Ford Accessory Division where he lives. He also sells them and they were fairly priced.I would have bought mine from him because he makes them idiot proof by prewiring if you want him to.Unfortunately I didn't find him till after I bought mine.I highly recommend Travis and let him know bobfawcett sent you to him.Oh yeah and he has a new baby too.Your purchase from him will help him out.He helped me install mine over the phone even late hours too.

Bob.

P.S. If you know someone who will install for cheap then Travis's prewiring will help you and the installer out!

Thanks for the info Bob. Do you know if the CA-630 unit listed for $149 is a Ford unit that a Ford employee could get from "parts" and install with support from their computer system?

My mechanic friend will only work with things that he can reference on the mechanics database and get answers from..the unit look kind of "stock," but kind of not at the same time.

Well, I spoke with Travis and I ordered the CA550 w/ the PKF3 bypass valve. I hope to have my "Gold equiv" system with alarm and remote started installed in 2 weekends by yours truly. Wish me luck!

And thanks for sending me to Travis Bob,
