On my '02 S'crew w/5.4L, I get an avg. of 17 mpg. I live at the lake, so if I go to "town" it is a 60 mile round trip (60 mph max). I'm well satisfied

Just this weekend went 462 miles on a tank, and then filled up with 22.35 gallons. =20.7 mpg

Of course, I must confess, 160 miles of that distance was on a scenic parkway with a 50 mph speed limit, where I was running about 55 mph.

I average 13-14 mpg w/50% city, 50% highway. On a recent highway trip with 4 guys and a bed full of luggage with cruise set on 80mph I got 16 mpg. Unloaded at 70 mph I would hope to get 18 mpg or so.

i don't know how you guys are getting anything above 15mpg. i just broke the 15mpg mark in my last tank and that was all highway driving the speed limit.

i only have 3500 miles on it so hopefuly it will get better.

I have an '05 S'Crew with 3.55 gearing. Best around town I have seen is 11-13 mpg being very light on the throttle. Towing my car the best I have seen is 15 mpg and that is with the truck's tires aired to 40 psi and drafting with other trucks. Normally I see 13-14 mpg on the highway with no trailer.

Mine's a 2003 Supercrew Lariat with a 5.4L. When I took the family on a road trip to Disneyland last summer, the best the truck did was about 16 mpg.

British Columbia to California is a lot of highway. I don't even want to know what the mpg's are in the city.

Usually about 14. Don't think I ever have gotten better than 15, even all highway.

I average approximately 16mpg mixed driving; flat terrain with little to no traffic jams to deal with. I got a 2-wheel drive, 3:55 rear gear, stock tires and a tonneau cover.

I enjoy driving a large luxury truck and this 04 F150 has been the best one I’ve ever owned, hands down. I guess don’t mind paying the piper at the pump to drive what I like.

mileage

Just checked today when I filled up.
Mixed driving (HWY 80MPH/city, including sitting 20 mins. in a parking lot running the AC) gave me 17.2
05 S-Crew 4.6

very happy

I'm impressed. I'm kinda **** on gas mileage ( it's fun to figure). Maybe I'm just bored. 17mpg in town, 21 mpg on the HWY (70 mph). I do baby it though. 22 mpg at 65 mph. One trip on back roads traveling 58 mph, 23.5 mpg. I pull a 28' trailer sometimes and get 10 mpg. I have a computor on the lariat but always figure it out long hand as well. I couldnt be more happier. Why would anyone buy a small truck?

04 F-150 screw
single flow master
drop in K&N
3.55 LS gear
5.4 power
