personally i wouldn't spend my hard earned money on it but that's me, i'll stick to something that has a proven track record already and can to any job you throw at it without a problem.
good luck

You just need to buy the Ridgeline then. I don't know why it's so hard to understand that it is not full sized. That can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you are looking for in a vehicle. I have 3 kids and need to tow more than 5000 lbs on occasion so I went with a truck that can handle the workload without being at the limit of what it can do.

I hope you have a sump pump. Look at all of the water leaks!

I know that most people who post have problems but it looks like they have a lot of problems. I had a '98 F-150 for 7 years and did nothing but replace plugs, change fluids and put new tire and brakes Ford has built trucks for over 50 years, which is 49 more than the Honda "truck".

Creeking steering wheel, passenger side speaker rattle, drivers' side tweeter dash rattle, blemished rear passenger side door panel, defective side-steps, pathetic, inept customer service at the dealership. These are just my troubles with the Ridgeline (now two months owned). I'm reading the boards here and really starting to re-evaluate my decision to purchase this vehicle. I'm getting the impression that Honda's quality control has gone to hell. And many dealers nationwide are unable to adaquately fix problems to the customers' satisfaction.
What gives?
I feel that when you spend this kinda of coin for a vehicle, you deserve better. Especially with a Honda. Honda is known for dependability. Have you tried other dealers for service? You know that when you bash the Ridgeline, no matter for what reason, other users here will be calling you a troll and all that other crap. Good luck with your issues. Hopefully you can get this taken care of.
My biggest beef is the interior. Would you rather have this:

It is still overpriced and they would sell twice as many if they came down on the price.

) there are going to be kinks to be worked out. If I were to get the honda, it would be the next model year. Even the VERY reliable '03+ accords had serious kinks the first year (faulty weld at firewall, tranny issues, etc). Honda has a reputation for fixing this stuff quickly. Granted ford's bad record, the F150 line is better than it's conventional competitors, even the foreign ones.

Anyway, it'll be months before I'm ready to buy anyway.....the research is the fun part.

so what is Ford's excuse for their quality issues? After 50 years you'd think they might be able to laucnh a truck that isn't a POS.
I'm actually waiting to see if Ford will offer further discounts or incentives. Right now they're taking about 30% off MSRP of some F150 models, so I'm waiting until they do 50% off and 0% financing
if you think you'll get any brand new truck for half price your dreaming.
i suggest you shop for a used one instead since you think they'll give it to you.
like i mentioned earlier you already have your mind made up since your defending the Honda everytime someone points something out. go get one ALREADY and be done with it. remember, your on a FORD site so we will be a little bias. go ask that question over on a Honda site and see what they say. again good luck

I had a '99 F150 work series and loved it, but with reading all the reviews and user-experienced fuel mileage, I need a deep discount to move me this time.

That's actually one of my pet peeves with honda... you get that creme colored interior with white exterior.

Still looks like brand new inside and the carpet cleans up real well as I've had it in the mud quite a few times.

I agree that Honda needs to change what colors you can pick with the exterior and interior. The main reason we got the gold/tan Odyssey was because my wife wanted the tan interior, which limited her exterior color choices to just 2. The white Odyssey only came with Fern, which was a putrid green! I can see that gray should have gray or black or charcoal and tan/gold should have tan. I don't see why you cannot pick any color with white and black exteriors, though.
I looked online at the Ridgline and you can only pick tan or olive with a white exterior. Why not offer grey or charcoal? And then I saw that the blue exterior only offers gray interior? Tan and blue look awesome together. And black exterior only comes with tan interior? Honda needs to offer more options in colors.
