Tires Life

What are the typical mileages people are getting out of the screw tires?

Also, what's the longest reasonable to keep them on if you are running low miles? 6 years? less or more?

I installed BFG AT KO's on my Screw when I purchased it in 2001. I currently have over 45,000 miles on them. I expect them to make it to 60,000 easily.

I bought an used '03 with 16k on it Feb 2005. The Goodyear Wrangler ATS tires had about 25 psi in them but I have put 35 psi in them since and now have 36k on the tires. They look about 1/2 worn. I can't wait until they wear down so I can get BFG TA/KOs. We have them on the '97 F250 and '05 Jeep Wrangler and love them!

I have an 03 Supercrew Lariat with the Goodyear Wangler ATS and have around 30,000 on them with about maybe another 15,000 of tire tread life left.

My original Generals lasted 86,000 miles, going thump, thump, thump for the last 66,000. They had developed a cupped wear pattern by 20,000 miles or so. Although the noise drove me nuts, I was too cheap to replace them until they were actually worn out.

To answer slaughterj's second question, I would probably use them to about 10 years old or so. I actually discarded a full size spare with 0 miles on it because it was 15 years old.

Stock Goodyear tires - I just hit 60K and they probably have 20K left.

I have the factory Contenentals and have 22,000 on them. I rotate often and they look as if they could go another 22,000. I hope not, I want some new Michelins and get rid of the raised white lettering.

25.ooo out of the stock generals, and they were bald.
Ive got Goodyear Fortera Silent Armor on there now, and they are rated at 80.ooo miles
I am a pretty aggressive driver and i dont know that ill make 80k on these tires. Good thing they have a prorated warranty from Goodyear.
Couldnt be happier with my tires, they truely are quiet and get good traction in all conditions. (havent been on ice in tx)
