Ride comparison F150SC vs. 06 Expedition?
i test drove the SC last week and the Expedition. I was surprised at how comfortable I felt behind the wheel of the F150 despite having owned an older exped for the past 8 years. The saddle, interior, ergonomics and everthing else just felt good. I have been leaning strongly toward an SUV until that moment. However, once i drove it, I took the F150 SC 4x4 off the list. I found the ride to be busy, jittery and far less comfortable than the expedition w/ IRS. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad ride, but far less comfortable the the exped. Has anyone else made this comparison and found the same results?
The one catch is, the f150 had the 20 inch scorpion tires/rims, which may have degraded the ride. The dealership said that's all they order b/c everyone wants the larger rims, lower profile tires. Will these rims/tires make that much of a difference to justify another trip to a different dealer who carries this truck with std 17 inch rims and regular tires or will the ride be similar?

Hey tealboy1, let me first start out by saying i currently have a 99 expi, and a 2005 150 super crew. To me the 05 gives me a much better ride then the expi, I had the factory 17's on when i bought mine., but immediately upgraded to 22's. I only rode 200 miles with the 17's and it was a better ride than the expi, with the 22's its still a better ride than the expi, there is very little difference in the quality of the ride with the bigger rims. Here is a simple test, be in the back seat for a ride on each. I get all sorts on bounced around in the expi, thanks to all the fine rodes up here in New England, but in the 150 its smooth 90% of the time .
