Running boards for a '06 F-150

Does anyone know if the running boards from an '05 F-150 SuperCrew will fit an '06 F-150 SuperCrew? I bought the OEM black molded boards from a woman for $50 (she upgraded her running boards and just wanted to get rid of these) and I'm not sure if they'll fit.

She didn't give me the directions for them and when I went to attach the running boards I realized all I had was the bolts & washers - I didn't have the nuts. The running boards appear to be the right length and line up with the holes underneath the truck, but I can't see how I'd attach 6 out of the 12 bolts.

The truck model hasn't changed from 2005 to 2006 so I figured they'd fit, but now I'm not so sure. If someone could let me know and if someone happens to have the directions and could scan them for me that would be great.

Are the boards on right sides of the truck?
I would imagine that the 05 running boards should fit the 06 with no problems.

Running boards

Yes, they are on the correct side (both of the boards are labeled right/left).

Maybe I'll checkout the local dealer tomorrow and see if there are any F-150's with running boards on them sitting in the lot and I'll take a peek underneath

Hey NJdudette, if you find that those 2005 running boards don't fit , let me know, I need some!
It sounds like she didnt give you the brackets. There should be 2 (or 3, I cant remember) brackets that bolt onto the running board and then onto the body. I think it's 12 bolts for each side.including the brackets.?

She gave me the brackets, running boards and the bolts w/the washers (12) - I'm guessing I'm missing the nuts. I'm no mechanic, but I am fairly good with my hands and can do the basics when it comes to a car/truck. The brackets line up with the holes, but there's no way to secure the bolts (the holes are too big), so that's why I'm assuming I need the nuts. The problem is, I can't figure out how to attach the nuts because of the limited space. I've never attached one of these before so it's not real cut and dry for me.

The nuts are the type that are attached to a clip that slides over the edge of each hole. If you just unbolt the running boards the clips will still be on the truck. I sure you can get them from your local Ford parts department..

Ahhhhh.....ok, that explains it then. I bought some galvanized nuts from Home Depot, but I didn't think it was right nor could I figure out how I would attach them. I'll hit the dealer next weekend and get the nuts. Thanks for your help!!!
