More Questions on a 03 f-150

I have a couple of more questions on my 03 f-150 supercab. I just bought the truck and there is no owners manual....dont know where the heck it is but, it should be with the vehicle!
It appears that there is some kind of anti theft system ( i see a light that flashes the word "theft") so how do i turn it off and on?
Also can anybody steer me possibly to a web site that i can order another key....i guess there is a "chip" in it .
And i am only guessing.....is there a light that will come on when an oil change is do? if so how do i reset it?

I can email you an PDF of the 03 owners manual.

The only anti-theft system is PATS which is the security key. Use the right key with the right code and it will work. There is no alarm.

If you have only one key, you'll have to call the dealer with your VIN. If you have two keys already, then an unprogrammed $16 key from the dealer is all you need.

There is no oil change light.

Leave your email addy and I can shoot you a PDF of the 2003 owners manual.

This is the Supercrew forum, not the Supercab.

Exclamation Key...

There are some locksmiths that have the keys and can program it, even if you only have one key. I didn't know that and went to the dealer and paid like $135!!! Did I mention that I hate new dealers?

The local locksmith here will do it for $85, and wants $35 for the key. I'm not sure if the key is included in the 85 or not. Either way, its a better deal. Once you have 2 working, you can buy an extra on E-bay cheap, and it will probably come with programing instructions. You definitly need to have 3 that work, in case you lose one, you can reprogram a new one yourself...

There is no specific Supercab forum. For your questions, you could ask in the General area or ask split the questions up into separate threads in Electrical, Engine, etc. No problem, though as you'll usually get your answers wherever you ask.
