Ford rebates and incentives

Hi there, got a question for the board...... I am thinking of trading in my 2000 Lariat for a new 05 Lariat. I am about ready to pull the trigger if we can get the tradin value worked out which is very close. But I have a question. Tomorrow is the last day of the $4000 rebates so I could go tomorrow and buy the thing or wait 2 days for the new rebates. Currently they are pushing the keep it simple plan which is the same as the X Plan partners price, which I could get anyday because my company supplies Ford many parts for their vehicles. So do I take advantage of the $4000 rebates on the 05's or wait an extra day and see what the rebates are then? Is there any web site that I can search to find what the rebates will most likely be on Tuesday? Or historically is $4000 considered low especially on a left over model year vehicle?

Thanks

Ron D.

The longer you hold out, the better. They will be dying to get rid of that 2005.

But if some one beats you to it your screwed.

I honestly dont think you will do much better then $4000 cash back though.

The most I have ever heard of was $5000, and that was on a discontinued body style. Your 2005 is pretty much the same as the 2006 so there will be alot more people willing to buy it. If they have the one that you absolutely want in stock, I would just get it now.

Dealers don't get any advance notice as to what rebates will be until after the old rebate has expired. It is kind of a crap shoot when you get to this point in the rebates vs. left over prior year inventory and factory incentive offers.
However don't for a minute believe that you can't do any better than the "Keep it Simple" price structure. There are some factory to dealer incentives offered also. It is up to the dealer as to weather he/she chooses to pass all or part of this along to the buyer to make a deal work. Have the dealer pull up a Vincent Report on the VIN of the truck you are looking at, this will give you all avalible rebates that will apply to this vehicle. Don't forget about Ford Credit rebate offers also. My 05 truck has a total of $7,000 in rebates applied by deals end.
Good Luck,

I saw a TV commercial for $12.5k off MSRP for any 2005 F-150. I'm sure that is for A-plan only, but still I'd target at least $11k off MSRP for a 2005 model.

If you aren’t in a dire need for the new vehicle, then wait and see. The dealer will see that you are more set on the pricing rather than drooling over a shiny new ride. My guess is that Ford will extend the current incentives. But it’s a small gamble on your part. Good Luck.

I bought one, so thanks for the replies. ~$42K sticker paid about ~$31 so it's inline with what is being mentioned. Pick it up tomorrow. Now I just need running boards and a tonneau.

42K sticker for 31K is about what I paid too. Must be a fully loaded model. Post pics when you can.

I think that's about the best you will do. I got mine the middle of December, same thing $42K sticker and paid $31 and change. You know they still made some money but I think I got a fair deal.
