I would say you can't, if you can afford the outlay right now.
I used to be a hard core General Tire person ( got that from my dad ), and I don't think I would ever go with anything but Michelin tires now. They will outlast the Generals in the long run.
The one thing about Michelin Tires, they don't like making warr claims ( Friend told me this ) so if you do have a claim, it is like pulling teeth to get it done ( they don't like to admit they had a problem, French you know )

The outlay is a real "killer" at this time because I just bought the truck the first week of December. But, the only way I can get rid of the Generals is to do it today because they are new replacements. The ones which came on the truck caused it to vibrate and shake. It took about 3 weeks for the tires to "go bad" or whatever happened so I don't trust the new ones.

Talking Eureka - The Vibration Is Gone

Picked up my truck with the new tires yesterday evening and it rides and drives like a different truck. Gone is the steering wheel shake, tire vibration and ride comfort issues.

Michelin LTX M/S

I can only give my first impressions since I drove 90 miles in the rain and Friday night traffic but all seemed well. Gone is the thump thump and tire vibrations.
