First Supercrew
First Supercrew
Looking for opinions on my recent purchase. First time posting, but have used site numerous times for information. Great site! Saved lots of money with your experiences. Thanks. Bought a 2001 Supercrew 4wd, excellent condition, 5.4, 3.55 gears, tow package, fog lights, silver paint, flowmaster duals, sunroof, sliding rear window, 6 disc cd changer, new GoodYear Silent Armor LT285/75R16 on Ford Chrome rims, Chrome running boards, Rugged bedliner, adjustable pedals, 101,000 miles (only downfall). Traded a 99 F150 XL, base model, 112,000 miles, also in excellent condition. Ended up financing $9200.00. So what do ya'll think??

Looks like you traded in a basic truck, for a better ride, that’s good. But it looks like you may have given them your trade in for dirt cheap. Go to KBB and compare the two. But congrats on the new to you ride. IMHO
2005 F150 super crew
Last year I had a 2003 F150 single-cab. No 4wd.
Last April I traded it in for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab 4x4.
Two weeks ago, I traded in the Ram for a 2005 F150 super crew 5.6L 4x4.
This one is the best one by far. It has much more back seat room than the Ram, the back seats fold up which my wife loves because when we go grocery shopping we don't have to put the groceries on the seats. It's a *much* smoother street and highway ride the the Ram. (The Ram would bounce and shift a lot running over just a little twig).
My Ram was a 4.xL (I think 4.6L). My new Ford is a 5.4L. But so far I think I get better gas mileage than the Ram, so that's good.

I just got m 4dr F-150 XLT Supercrew Cab (5.4L Triton), with 5" Chrome Running Boards, and Bedliners. My kids loved this truck because they are comfortable at back seat, and has a nice leg room both front and back seat. My son is now stepping the back of my seat. Now I'm planning to install a dual headrest with dvd players.
