OK, you guys caught me in a fib. Sticker was actually $41,315. Cost another $900 to have it shipped to my dealer from a dealer 600 miles away on a flat bed tow truck. ($42,315 total) I just had to have an FX4 in True Blue with certain creature comforts.

I actually purchased the truck while I was in NC. Out the door price was $26K even. I paid cash. I really don't care if you guys believe it or not. I got a great deal. I know it.

inurok might want to take a better look at the truck. He/she/it missed a few optional features.

This was a new truck purchase, less than two weeks ago. From a dealership in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex. The truck had over $7,000 in different promotional rebates applied to the purchase.
So a MSRP of a little over $32K for $18,900 on a brand new truck with less than 20 miles on the odometer.....not too bad.

Ok...$32k - $7k = $25k. How did you get the extra $6k off of that?

After I made that last post I thought "Maybe I should go into greater detail", but didn't want to edit the post again.
The was an ad unit from a dealer to clear out the 05 trucks. They actually had it priced behind invoice and dealer hold back. When a dealer does this, the dealers train of thought is we will make a profit by holding back on the value we allow for the customers trade, load on a few extra percentage points to the finance end. And then load the loan up with warranty, and every insurance they can add such as Gap Insurance, Disability Coverage, and the list goes on.
In order to receive $2,500 in rebates I had to finance thru Ford Credit. And the dealership did add on 2% above the percentage rate I should have received from Ford Credit.
Now on my side, I didn't trade any vehicle in (so I didn't get burnt on the trade). As for the finance rate bump, no big deal. When I get the bill for the first payment, I'll pay the loan off in full. So bottom line it will cost me around $65 dollars in interest, but I received $2,500 for financing the truck for 1 month.
I could have used a Ford Employee A Plan to purchase a new truck, but this ad unit was a much better deal.
For the record dealer don't like it when ad units turn and bite them in the butt like this.

Fuzzy math.....Dealer would never let it go that low...sorry..even a 2004 would be pushing it. Btw Ford Credit requires 3 month comit not 1 month.

I call BS on this one.

Don't get upset with me, if you overpaid for your truck.
I don't know how things work in New York, but in Texas, truck sales are serious business to Ford and GM. IF towards the end of the year it means selling for a loss to be named the top selling truck in Texas, it is done. Matter of fact the average loss leader ad unit in a news paper ad on a truck in the DFW, TX area is priced somewhere around $1,200 or better behind invoice. This is why they will usually foot note the ad with a disclaimer of one stock number as an ad unit.
I paid what I said, period. Matter of fact they ran the same ad this week..but surprise they didn't show any of the trucks remaining in inventory when I looked. As far as the financing you can pay it off with the first payment at least in our state (again finance laws vary from state to state).
As for incentives, they vary in different parts of the country. There are also rebates that apply to individual models of a truck which may have been a limited production run for a region of the country. Such as the Texas/Oklahoma Editon, which is a package discount only for sale in Texas and Oklahoma........now how creative could Ford have gotten with that name. These discounts are only found by the dealer running a Vincent Report.
Ford also offers incentives to it's dealers which are not for public knowledge, nor are they avalible for the public to search or view. Yet since the dealer has this special cash being recieved from Ford it is up to the dealer as to choose how it is used. Dealer pocket or pass all or part along to the customer.
Again, I don't really care if you want to call BS. I got a great deal, I'm more than pleased with the deal, the truck, the fact I live in Texas.
Being from Texas and owning a Longhorn Ranch, I can mix BS with the best of 'em. But I was also taught that a man's word is his worth.
Now let me ask a question. What would I have to gain from playing fuzzy math? The original post was a simple question of "what did you paid for your truck". Plain and simple. Fuzzy math is what Enron and World Com was made of.

Nope I dont think I overpaid for my truck as it was loaded with every (almost) avail option. Anyway it is just hard for me to believe that a dealer would take that much of a hit. I guess everythings possible. Good deal.

Im not sure where in NY you are from , i am from long island.. if you look in my gallery i have my window sticker pic in there and my truck (FX4) stickered over 40k.No bed extender, standard CD (i knew i was going to get rid of stock radio anyway) so the sticker would have been even higher. I financed for 1 month and then paid it off. I got 1k off for financing and no penalty for paying off right away. Tax , title and all for 34k OTD
I factory ordered on 3/28/05 and it was at the dealer on 4/28
