Question Tire OWL Inside or Out

Finally replacing my original 01 supercrew tires with BS dueler a/t revo's. Will be staying with stock 265 70R17 size but have not yet decided on "P" or "LT"
rating. I could use some opinions on mounting the tire with the white lettering on the inside or outside. Every truck and tire that I have had always had the
lettering on the outside. I'm thinking this time about putting it on the inside
but have not seen many examples to help me make up my mind. It's a small
matter but would appreciate any thoughts.

Keep the white letters on the outside. I think they make the truck look better. Just my .02.

Always on the inside. Black tire looks best!

I like the white letters out for truck tires. Here are a couple picstures of the Revos w/ white out:

Simple rule:

Trucks: White letters facing out

Passenger cars: No white letters

White Out

I've always liked the white letters out, but I don't have a "lifted" truck. On trucks with moderate to high lifts, I think the black wall looks best. On the stock to minimal lift, I like the white letters out. It seems the larger the tire, the less the white letters look good, but that is just my 2 cents

White letters went out of style in the mid 80's. They are ok if you have an all terrian or mud terrian tire on an off road style truck, but that's it.

You may not have a choice between P and LT on the 265 17" Bridgestone Dueller Revo. To my knowledge the 17" tire offers only a P rating. I have been using this tire for over a year and still think it is the best tire for both on and off the road. Just returned from my second elk hunting trip with these tires and they again performed flawlessly. Good luck on your selection. I like the White Lettering on the outside. Semper Fi.

White letters look better on dark colord trucks, IMHO.

There is a new LT rated Revo out now, but I would skip it. The P rated Revo has plenty of load rating for an F-150.

My current choice is White letters IN. Especially when you have really nice shiney wheels. You don't want to detract from them.

White letters on the INSIDE! Looks better with black sidewalls. If you hit curbs, the letters will scrape off and look horrible.

Good tires on a truck, such as Revos, BFG TA KO's, Mud Kings, etc. I prefer on the outside. If it's an el cheapo tire, I prefer white lettering on the inside. However, if the truck has really shiny wheels, white on the inside probably will help the wheels look that much nicer. White letters should almost always go on the inside of a car, unless it's an old classic hot rod with the good ole BFG's mounted on 15" wheels. Or, at least that's how I feel about tires.
