I'm not speaking all from experience but from knowledge...a friend of mine who works for the fire department had a 2002 F-250 diesel...she didn't drive it very much at all because she drove the fire department van. That truck had all kinds of problems because it had 15,000 in three years time. I would only assume the same can happen to a F-150.

I would highly recommend that you do a vin check on it to see what mileages have been logged where. Sounds somewhat fishy...HOWEVER, if you truely have a truck with that low miles and nothing wrong with it...GOOD FIND!

Whether or not the price is high all depends on what part of the country you live in. We bought our '01 Screw 4x4 XLT in July of '04. It had 24K miles on it, which was low for a 3 year old truck. We paid $24K out the door, and that was with the extended warranty. In other parts of the country, people thought I was nuts for paying so much, but that was the price they were going for in Washington at the time. Screws are in hot demand. I got lucky and was there the day they got that truck and I was the first to see it. There were a couple other people that were ready to buy it if I didn't.

My Father bought My 98 brand new and drove it back and forth to work 5 days a week for 5 years and then sold it to me last year for 5,000 with 71,000 on it and its at 83,000 now.(I know he cut me a hell of a deal.)I haven't had any problems whatsoever out of it expcept the Blend door motor went out a couple days ago and I replaced it.I dont think Low miles are scary at all man but the kinda low miles like 15,000 in 3 years yea that would probably have problems.I would just make sure to look at EVERYTHING before purchasing.Take it on the highway and listen for noises and test the riding conditions to see if it might need new shocks or anything of that nature that wears out at under 50,000 miles and no one bothers to replace it if it isnt broken. Good Luck man!
