Like everyone said - I think it's best to let this truck pass unless the dealership is willing to do some serious price reduction.
I started looking for a 2001-2003 4x4 Super Crew with a 5.4 about three months ago. The ones I found near Altanta ranged from $12,500 to 25,000 - with mileage all over the chart.
I finally found a 2001 model with what I wanted in another state for a little more than 14k. Fortunately, I was able to get it transfered near me for free (bought it from CarMax) and picked it up three weeks ago. Some of the money I saved has already been put back in the truck to buy my camper shell, step rails, and I've got a few other toys on order.
Also, I shopped around a lot for the best loan rates - started out hearing as high as 18.5% from my bank, all the way down to the 4.3% I got from a credit union (that I joined the day before I bought the truck).
Trust me, I know just how tough it is to walk away from a truck you really like - but sometimes that's the best thing to do. Lucky for me I did just that - otherwise I would have paid a lot more for basically the same truck I'm driving today.
Here's a few shots of my new truck:

come on guys it's not that bad of a deal...but i would still look to lower the price a bit... i paid $22k for mine 2 months ago (w/27k miles fully loaded w/shell & DVD/TV)... interest rates thru conventional banks are @ 9.5% up to 19.9%... i financed mine @ 9.9% thru bank of course CUs will be less however some are not very forgiving for late payments & you'll have to join for a small fee
personally, i would keep looking... as someone else said you don't know if the lift was properly installed or not... i would find a cheaper truck save my money & have a lift installed if that is what you want... just my $0.02 worth

isn't Ford letting everyone buy vehicles at the employee discount ( A plan)?as far as i know here in Canada they are on all Ford vehicles except the Mustang, just like GM is doing until August 1st. i bought my 03 s'crew lariat at 0% interest back in the fall of '03.( i used my X plan employee discount thru work which was $1000 more then what a Ford employee would have paid). personally i would wait because the 06's are coming out in the Fall which means incentive programs for the 04/05 that are still sitting on the lots.
