I was told 16k-17k as a trade in for my 02 Lariat...The dealer tried to make me feel bad for them... aparently, the market is flooded with used American vehicles right now, which makes my truck worth less?

Maybe I should buy Japanese?

I have been wondering what the current deals have been on purchasing a new fx4 screw. I bought mine June 25 right as the month was ending and only Chevy had the family price plan. Ford was getting hit pretty hard I imagine. My screws sticker was $40,929. Without the trade in I went down exactly $10k. Then I got $2500 for my 2000 Pont GA which was all but dead and needed $2500 of repairs to keep it breathing... IMMEDIATELY. I really didn't think I would get anything for the trade in. I added the LineX bedliner, the maintenance pkg, and later added my own cover and tint.

I have been wondering what today's deals are like? I can't believe they would be much better than mine... but perhaps... oh well.

I think $10,000 off the sticker is fairly comparable to today's deals under the Family Plan. I just bought a 2005 SuperCrew FX4 a couple of weeks ago and got exactly $10,000 off the sticker. You might be able to get a better deal by really pressing the dealer, but my dealer had exactly the truck I was looking for--I left feeling good about the deal.

I say don't worry about it and enjoy your new truck!

Fly safe,
