Need air intake

Trying to figure out which of the many brands of cold air intakes would be the best for my 04 screw 5.4 fx400, have got the exaust done and superchips already, just need a good air intake. Does anybody have any ideas? mb3is1

mb.... best bet is to give a call to Mike Troyer @ Troyer Performance (look under "Chips" forum) and get an Air Raid FIPK....supposedly, they're the best bang for the buck on the new 3 valve 5.4 motor...

Post some pics of your FX400... don't see too many around...

(RP - I understood the 04 Supercrew with a 5.4 by default has 3 valves.... were they still putting in the old 2 valve 5.4 motors in 04 Supercrews???? )

Airaid works well with the 5.4L 3-valve and the Air Force One should be on the market very soon.

I would love to have one as well, just can't see spending $300 on an intake. Anyone remember the post on here a while ago from the guy that made his own intake? Anyone have a link to that?

Yep. You're right. I neglected to read the word 'SCREW' in his vehicle description and thus was making sure it wasn't a heritage.

You're right... it's a 3V if it's new body style.

If I were you, I'd hang tight and go with the Air Force One for the 3v 5.4. It'll be hitting the shelves VERY soon and should be pretty impressive based on what I've read.

Here's Roll-A-Long's link http://www.roll-a-long.com/homepage.htm I think they also did the No Fear NF-150 a couple years ago as well.....

#!!#% safari browser

I have a PowerBook and I detest Safari as well.

MS Explorer isn't much better, too #!@$ buggy.

Have you tried Firefox? I use it on my Mac and my Dell. Runs great for the most part.

Saw that you're replying from Fallujah.

Many sincere thanks for your service. Stay safe and come home soon!!!
