Landmaster bull bar
Just purchased and installed one of these on my screw I am very happy with the quality of it and more with the price! 189.00 and the shipping was free. I don`t know what the the major differences are between the weston and the landmaster except that the skid plate is a little different and is 79.00 extra.Has anyone else taken a chance on these bars?
Sorry I don`t have a picture but the company that I purchased it from has a site with all the landmaster products . Just type in your truck info and everything they offer for it will come up.The prices aren`t too bad either free shipping etc... go to www.dealsofsteel.com they also have a store on E-bay wich is how I found them. Oh, by the way did I mention Iwas able to keep my tow hooks with this bar?
Wow! That is a great price!
I can find only a very few places on the web to find this brand. Couldn't find a pic with it installed on a truck. Too bad you don't have a pic of yours on your truck for us to look at.
In your opinion, is this bar a quality piece? Do you think it is probably just as good as the Westin ?(which costs at least $100 more after adding the skid plate to the LM unit)
Can the rubber bump pads be removed? I think it would look better without them.
Thanks for any answers you can offer.

Wandell...............
FYI
Here is a link to the best pic I can find. The vertical bars on the lower part of the bar (they call it a skid plate) is $79 bucks extra.

Looks just as good as the Westin to me, well, with the exception of the "skid plate".
Here is a pic of the bar sans "skid plate".

I dunno...
No disrespect intended, but I don't really care them that much. Seems like they protrude out too low and too much.. Maybe that is why I don't care for them, I know for places I like to go when I am hunting, that sucker would be a mud plow..
My brush gaurd is raised just enough to where I rarely hit and I couldn't imagine having one any lower...

Hi, It`s been a week now with the bar and lights installed I`m not dissapointed . To answer a few of your questions, I do believe you can take off the rubber pads by removing about 4 screws, I have not seen a weston up close to make a fair comparison, however, looking at the pictures on this board it looks about the same as a weston on the truck( minus the skid plate of course)personally I like it with out the skid plate. Mounting the lights was a little awkward because they mount directly on the cross bar not mounting tabs not a big deal just different. the way I see it for the money and warranty .I cant really go wrong. (just my point of view). Did you think the prices on the other items are pretty good? I haven`t done any comparisons on any thing but the bull bars. hope this helps and I`ll post as soon as possible (new computer sitting in boxes nxt to me!)

From the side, can you see where the Landmaster Bull Bar attaches to the truck, or do the stainless bars continue into the holes for the tow hooks? I don't really car for the models where the Bull Bar attaches to a mounting bracket several inches in front of the bumper. Do you have any pictures of the Landmaster taken from the side? How were you able to keep the tow hooks attached? Does the Bull Bar mount to the same holes as the hooks originally do, or does it use the middle and rear hole? Did you need additional mounting hardware to for the hooks?
Thanks,
Scott
Thanks,

Hi, sorry so late with my reply,(trip to the silverdome over the weekend) my bar goes under the bumper to a bracket that fits between the tow hooks and the frame it also provides a clip and hardware to add a third bolt through the bracket behind the two othet bolts I will try to get a picture for you as soon as possible please bear with me I`m playing with my new system and am still learning! Again I dont think you will be to dissapointed if you order one for the money and warranty.
