Get the 4x4,if you get around sand or mud you will need it.I've read about people going for a ride and not making it back for they didn't have a vel that could get them out of trouble if they got stuck.When we go see the daughter up in the northern part of the state in the winter we take the 4x4.As for gas mileage it's there if you drive right and keep your vel up in shape.We like the ride of 4x4 and it's there if you need it.You will enjoy it I bet.
