Smile New 2005 SCrew

One more new F-150 owner here! Just picked up my 2005 Screw, dark Shadow Gray FX-4. Awesome truck it's just a bit more than I've been used to. Went from a 2001 Dodge Intrepid to this, and man o' man, what a difference.

My only regret is not getting the Lariat, the FX-4 seats (Leather trimmed captains chairs) are kind of like sitting on a concrete bench. My back hurts today from the last few days of driving. Not sure what to do. Anybody else have this problem?

Other than that, great truck, great online forum too. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

Mike

Congrats on the new truck. I have only had mine for a couple months now and couldn't be happier.

I have heard other complaints about the seats in these trucks not being comfortable, but I drove over 1200 miles in one day and was comfortable the whole way and didn't even get tired, I love my seats, but thats just me.

Congrats!

these seem to be very funny seats.

Some find them too comfortable and others painful to sit in for extended periods.

Maybe pick up a low cost seat cushion from Wally World or someplace like that.

More expensive option is to get some cushy shocks (the FX4 are supposed to be a little firmer ride)

Thanks for the info

It's good to hear I'm not alone. I suspect that the lariat seats are much better. Foolish me, wanted to go with the off-road deal.

Oh well.

My Dad has an 04 XLT, cloth capt seats. Very soft & Compfy. My leather Lariat Capt. seats seems a little hard. I like his better. Leather cleans up better though. IMO

My seats in the 2003 Lariat are some time uncomfortable, but I found that adjusting them helps on long drives. If my wife drives it I have to start over again finding the best adustment. But I still love my truck.May after some break in time they will feel better,I have 10000 on my truck now.Congrats on your new wheels.

Glad you found us here.

Congrad's on the 05 truck.

I sure like mine. As far as the seats....well I never sit in the back so I can't tell you either way comfy or uncomfy.

The 05 front seats are fine to me. I like them better then my 01. The seat bottom is flatter with out the sides built up like on the 01.
