I have a 2001 Supercrew with a fibreglass cap over the bed. I need to find out the width of the bedrail caps that run under the cap. I am going to be installing a roof rack on my supercrew, and the fabricator requires the exact size width of the bed caps to make up a special plate. I would do this myself, but the cap extends down both sides of the bed. Any of you fellow members who don't have a cap or tonneau on your truck, I would appreciate hearing from you. I have looked all over the web for this information without any luck. The bed length is listed, but not the bed rail caps. I figure that bed rail cap to be about 3 - 4 inches, but the exact measurement is what I need.

I have a 2001 supercrew and i just went out to measure the bed cap It is not the same front to back it is about 4 inches wide from the front most of the way back towards the tailgate but narrows to 3.5 inches about the last foot or so hope you understand what I am saying?????
