Topper value

Does anybody have any guess at to what my topper is worth? It is a Glasstite topper with tinted sliding side windows and front sliding window. The back window lifts up and is tinted. It isn't carpeted inside but does have a light. I bought it with the truck so I don't know how much it's worth. I'm considering selling it and maybe going with a roll-up cover and some other mods.
Thanks.

Pics can be seen here.

They run around $1,000 new, color matched to the truck.
On a resale, you need a Supercrew owner, with that color, in the SD commuting region, that actually wants a topper. That's a tall order, without a bargain price to move it.

It's worth as much as someone is willing to give you for it. Like Raoul said, the big hurdle will be finding someone that actually wants it. Then you basically take whatever you can get for it unless you like having it parked in your backyard. The bad part is that it keeps depreciating whether you use it or not. Once it's 7-8 years old it's about $50 regardless of the paint or color or brand.

I have a topper on my truck that looks similar to yours. Can I ask you what brand it is? Mine is A.R.E.

I am having trouble with the 3rd tail light working on it. I am curious if it is the bulb however I can only get access to it from the exterior of the topper. I dont see any screws that I can take off to remove the cover, is it just supposed to pop off?

Plus the interior light isnt working as well, could they be related?

Also, where did you get your nerf bars? Were those stock or aftermarket? I am looking for something like those to replace my stock runners.

Thanks!

I'm looking for a top for my crew.... It's tough being on the other side, too. I need one, but it's impossible to locate one for sale- few and far between. And SD is WAY to far.

I'd say yes.

Not sure how they wire those but, I'd assume that they may share a common ground.

Ash,

I believe the steps were factory as they were on the truck when I bought it and have the FORD logo on the inserts.

Topper brand is Glasstite and below is link to model that I think is close to what I have on my truck.

next to no value on used toppers/caps/camper shells.

They lose 75% of their value as soon as they are installed.

I have been looking for a topper in OH. In the OH/MI/PA area on ebay they are typically going for $300-500 used, assuming good condition.
