Overhead Video Unit/Replace Dome Light
Looking for some advice and answers to questions I have about installing a overhead video unit in my 2002 supercrew. I am wanting to replace the existing dome light with video unit.
1) Is the solid black wire in the dome light connector a true ground wire?
2)Will the plastic dome light bracket support the weight of the video unit if I modify the video mount bracket to mount to the dome light bracket? Or should I cut the headliner and mount directly to the roof rails?
3)Where's the easiest place to get a switched 12 volts splice? I already have the wire run from dome light to driver's side floor panel?
Thanks for your time and info!

My setup...
I had my video system professionally installed and they just moved the dome light forward. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where the tapped into the power at, but I did keep the light.
