FX4 or Lariot with 4WD? Help me!

I'm still contemplating between purchasing an '05 Supercrew 4x4 LARIOT or a '05 supercrew FX4.

Basically, I want the nice leather captain's chairs and I want 4x4.

Does the FX4 sit any higher than a lariot with 4WD? Are there any benefits to owning the FX4 over the lariot with 4wd with skid plates?

Thanks for the help!!

If you're set on the bucket seat interior then the biggest difference will be in the electronic gizmos that the Lariat has and you can't get on an FX4 (trip computer, electronically controlled AC, homelink, etc.).

Driveline-wise they're the same (or can be) since 18-inch wheels are optional on FX4 (standard on Lariat 4x4) and skid plates & limited-slip rear end are optional on Lariat (standard on FX4).

FX4 has a stiffer ride due to the psuedo Rancho shocks.

You can get the lariat with the Fx4 options..skid plate and shocks. That's what I did. It won't come with the Fx4 emblem though, it will have the 4x4 emblem.

I guess it would depend on what you are doing with your truck... I have an FX4 and I love it... wouldn't get another truck!

You can’t make a mistake between a Lariat and an FX4 because either one you can’t go wrong

I went with the Lariat cause I wanted the 4x4 for winter driving and for the extra bells and whistles....I don't do any off-roading so I didn't go with the Fx4.
