lifting truck a little?

yeah just got one.....2002 supercrew 2WD but now i want to lift it up a little because it looks too low for me, i want it to be a little bit higher.

i was looking around and thinking.... i found this 3" ... looks reasonably priced

i'm wondering if this is good / reliable? and would i need to buy anything else to make it work / look good? would it work with normal tires or should i get some new ones?

**i have no idea about lifting a truck or any of this stuff, so help me out please

I don't know much about lift kits well at least the ones that just use blocks....to me it kinda looks cheap, but thats my opinion.

That's the same Performance Accessories body lift that I have on my truck. It's an excellent kit.

Can you put it on yourself? Or do you need to pay someone else to install it?

And if i can do it myself, then do i need any special tools or know any tricks? haha

**and Wandell, does it make it look like the one on the site? Cuz i want to lift it some, but i dont want it to be low still either

You can install one yourself. It is not hard, but it is time consuming, tedious work. This is why installation cost are so high at shops. Really, the only special tool you need is a large Torx socket for the bed bolts. You can pick one of those up for a couple of bucks at Pep Boys, Advance Auto, etc. Since you have a 4x2, it will put your truck at about the same height as a stock 4x4. Stock vs. stock, a 4x4 sits about 3 inches taller than a 4x2.
