Hey guys, I have a friend who would like to get an aftermarket air intake system for his new 05 F-150 Lariat 4x4. I own a Lightning and dont know much about the new N/A 5.4's, so thought I would look to the wisdom of this board. He's swapping the mufflers out on his truck next week, and thought while he's at it, to install an aftermarket air intake kit. He's just looking for a little bit better breathing truck and a bit better (louder) intake noise.

Your ideas?

The new issue of Truckin' has an article on the installation of an AEM intake on an 05 F-150. It looked pretty nice.

 

I would definately go with one of the Air Force 1's from Troyer.
It had a lot of R&D put into it before they released them for sale.
Supposedly it is one of the only ones that will not cause a leaning effect on the engine.
