Question on speedo reprograming

Got a question for Wandell and the other guys runnin 33" tires. Were you able to program the revs for speedo cal in the pcm, gem, abs? Or are you guys doing it with a chip??? I just put a set of 265/70/16's on the parts managers truck, and was not able to set the rpm in the pcm, gave me some crap about "refer to as built sheet" So before i go and put my 33's on, if i need to get a tru-speed calibrator or something...

I'm not running 33's but I did buy 1" taller tires. I already had the Superchips Max Micro tuner so all I did was reprogram the computer again with the measurement of the taller tire. Works perfectly all the way to 90 per my GPS (couldn't go any faster because I ran out of straight road).

The micro tuner wasn't cheap, but well worth it since I needed just a little more power out of my truck.

i am running 33's now, stock was 30" so i'm about 10% off. in town, you won't notice, but on the highway the faster you go the more noticiable it will be.
has a slight effect on your shift points in the antotranny.
i have a GPS too so I used that for about a month until i decided to get the Supertuner. i got the 3 program one so you can adjust it for tires, and still run 87 octane if you choose, adjust shift points etc. i picked mine up on ebay, used, cheaper than new. i have seen a couple other prodcuts out now that will adjust for tiresize and are about $100.
if it doesn't bother ya - leave it.
if it's a slight bother - get an adjuster
if you plan up upgrading or need the flexability, spend another $100 and get a tuner.

- but i've seen them for less
