Just a couple comments....

Keep tires inflated. If you're on the highway, long haul, overinflate 3-4 pounds. Tires will run cooler and better mileage.

Make sure your coolant is protected if you're in a freezing area.

Check all you lights.

Good wiper blades and washer full.

Have a safe trip and a Merry Christmas

I always like to do an oil change a few days before a long trip. 1) its nice to have fresh, clean oil and 2) do it a couple days prior to make sure there are no surprises (missing oil caps etc)

Most importantly.... remove your spare, check that its inflated and lube the parts that hold and lower the spare. Should you have a flat in the middle of nowhere, its nice to have a fully inflated spare that you can get to (lowering cable isnt seized)

Enjoy your trip!
