gooseneck trailers

Does anyone pull a gooseneck trailer with a super crew?? what size trailer? I am looking for information on a bolt in hitch for a gooseneck in a "03 supercrew, and I am also thinking about purchasing a gooseneck utility trailer, 16-20 foot...anyone have suggestions/opinions?

There are several designs in truck bed mounts.
The trailer size you state is not very large as long as the loaded bed weight is not over much over 1500 lbs it should be a neat handling setup.
An RV trailer dealer should be able to help you or the trailer mfg. for the mount you need to fit the trailer.

first sentence...maybe i should have clarified better

Not that i meant to be rude, did not mean it that way. I wanted to hear from people who are actually doing this, and how they think the setup that they currently use works for them.

Bluegrass, I do appreciate your attempt to help, but for the most part, I do not want a 5th wheel to pull an RV. Thank you anyway.

Gooseneck in screw

I have a F350 Supercrew 4X4 and tow a 26ft Gooseneck horse trailer, approx 8200 lbs unloaded. My hitch is a bolt on hitch but when installed they add welded supports underneath to the frame. I can unbolt it and change to another truck but would not do it without the supports added. My ball flips down so the bed can be used normally etc. Hope this helps

The SuperCrew is an F-150. Your F-350 is a Crew cab. Huge difference. The SuperCrew has a short bed and a short distance between the back of the cab and the pivot point for a fifth wheel or Gooseneck. Ford does not support that kind of towing on the SuperCrew. People have done it though.

Supercrew 5th wheel

I don't remember where I saw it, but I was watching TV one day and they were showing a 5th wheel hitch on a Supercrew that moved toward the rear of the truck during a turn. When you straightened out it moved back to the center to keep the trailer away from the cab during tight turns. Seemed like a good idea to me.

After posting I found this web site Pullrite. It seems a little pricey.

i have found out that B & W makes a bolt on gooseneck hitch for a 2003 F-150 Supercrew. I forgot what part number they told me it was, but they did say they have one for the 03 screws.

they also have an offset ball that will move the trailer further away from the truck, but still keeps the weight where the hitch is mounted. looks cool

i am getting me one appreciate all the help..thanks
