D-Plan Question

Looking at a 05 S-Crew Lariat 4x4 w/all options besides heated seats. Sticker is around $40,000. When I asked to see the D-Plan price it was around $34,500 and right under it was the X-Plan price of only $600 more. I thought that D-Plan was supposed to be a greater bit cheaper than X? My brother-in-law bought my sister a 04 2WD Eddie Bauer Expedition in August of 03 and D-Plan for that was about $10,000 under sticker.

My question, was the dealer I spoke to lying about the price or have things changed? Anyone know what percentage over dealer cost A/D & X plans are?

Thanks in advance.

6.5K on a 40K? That's DARN good! My Z-Plan (same as A-Plan) only knocked off 7K!!

D is right below X... that sounds about right to me.

X plan = 104% of D plan

You know you still get any special incentives that are available in your area right?

Thank you sir. Yeah, I know all rebates are still included with plan pricing.

I'm still back and forth about ordering either the 05 F-150 S-Crew or a 05 F-250 PSD. I do have a car and boat to pull, so the Diesel would be nice. However, with all the problems I'm seeing with the 6.0L PSD its almost not worth getting one I had a 00 CC Lariat 4x4 F-250 with the 7.3 and loved the hell out of it. I sold it and bought a 02 Lightning, then sold that and bought my current 04 Silverado. I kick myself almost everyday for selling my F-250. I really wish I could find a freakishly low mileage 03 SD with a 7.3, but that'll be like trying to find a 25 year old Centerfold thats still a virgin. Thanks for the help fellas.

LOL... If I find her, she's mine.

Oh yeah, I'll keep an ear to the ground here in Louisville (home of the SD) for you...

Or you could do like me....use the "BS" plan. BS meaning "Body Style" plan. Just wait until Ford changes the body style again. I got $11,000 knocked off my MSRP. I bought it in October 2003, and they didn't want those old ugly body styles on the lot....

Actually, X-Plan = 104% of A Plan + $150 (for Ford/Mercury models).

D-Plan and A-Plan are usually the same price so I guess you could say it was 104% of D-Plan.
