Thinking of buying a Ford F-150 Supercrew

Dealer is asking $25,990 for a 2004 XLt Supercrew with 1500 miles near my house. It has the 5.4 engine with the towing package, is this a fair price?

Seems a little high to me, depending on exact options. With the incentives on new 2004 models, they were going for $10k off MSRP around Detroit.

These are the Trucks options:

XLT
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Single Compact Disc
Dual Front Air Bags
ABS (4-Wheel)
Sliding Rear Window
Running Boards
Bed Liner
Towing Pkg
Alloy Wheels

I'm thinking of offering $24,900 and see what they can do.
The Truck is totally mint and is Blue in color.........very sharp truck.

I was looking at a brand new one Friday. It was xlt, 4x4, captain chairs, running boards, tow package, chrome wheels, power driver seat, running boards, keyless entry pad, and with the 5.4.
$25516.72 plus tax was the total with rebates and x plan.

So, I do not think that is a good deal at all.

It's a 4x4.

What is a reasonable price if some of you feel this is too high, I'm going to the dealer tonight.

It is hard for anyone in another geographical area to give an estimate on that due to the differences in cost of living. www.kbb.com will give you the estimated retail price for a truck in your area.

MSRP is about $35.5k. Invoice = $31.5k. $3k in rebates on 2004 models. Bonus cash for financing through FMC. For a 1500 mile demo, I'd say that is worth at least a dollar a mile. I'd offer no more than $24k.

I got it for $21,000, it only has 9,000 miles on it. It still has that new smell inside.
I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow night, I'll try and post some pics.
The sound system is really sweet , the original owner even added an Amp that's tucked away under the rear seats.

I have to update my profile!!
