Question Power window noise?

I have a strange noise in my drivers side window when going up OR down...... kinda sounds like the wheel has a flat spot on it or something. I`ve got another 1200 miles before my 30K service,so my question is : Has anyone else had this problem??

I have noticed some noise in my driver side window as well. It is a vibration when the window goes down. I have 1300 miles on my SCREW, and I am a little suprised that something like that would happen.

I will keep an eye on this thread for any suggestions.

Bring it in and have it checked....I don't hear anything on my SCrew. Tis better to be safe and look like an idiot than have to dish out big bucks.....

If you truck is still under warranty, definitely bring it in. I had to get my drivers motor replaced at about 50k on my 01. Of course, it was not covered and cost me over $300 at the Ford Dealer.

Even after the replacement motor, it makes a sound that none of my other windows make. Parts and labor are warranted for a year I believe, so I am gonna take my truck back in and have them take another look. And it goes up and down a little slower than all my other windows. That would also indicate a problem; either alignment or lubrication type thing I am guessing.

My 03 SCREW drivers window does the same thing, I have 30k miles on it. My girlfriend who is a Asst. Service Manager for a Ford dealership said not to worry about it. Now that I know I'm not the only one, I think I will have her take it in and have it looked at....

my 01 has a noise (drivers side) when it reaches the fully closed position. It makes a weird rubbing/popping noise.

Take it in under warranty - I had THREE new window motors replaced, two in the same door. All were making the same noises.

My did it too...

For a few months (6, I think), my window did the same for a while. Then one day it poped out of the track and slid . Apparently, the way it is held in the track is with some sort of plastic clip or something and it finally broke. Used some good old window adhesive and put it back in, $30, done.
