Vibration after service

Took my 2003 F150 Supercrew in for the 10,000 mile service last Friday.

They changed the oil, added brake fluid, checked the air filter system, roated tires and added windshield wiper fluid.

Before this service I had never had any problems with the truck. Except a paint bubble on the roof, which Ford has since fixed.

Well when I got it back I noticed that now I have a problem:

When I am at a dead stop at a red light I can feel a vibration in the steering wheel. When the light turns green and I proceed, the truck starts to vibrate more ( it feels like the truck is out of gas, starving for air, or like I told my husband : you know when you are driving a standard shift and the clutch is not fully engaged the vibration you feel? That is how it is).

Well I took it back to Ford and they said they were too busy to take a look at it. So I have an appointment next week.

Any ideas?

My husband checked all the fluids and said it is not bad gas.

I am thinking it may be an air sensor.

Thanks

Ford called with an answer

Well took the truck into Ford this morning.
After waiting all day finally got a call.

Both motor mounts are going out.

They have put an order in for new ones and should have them by Monday of next week.

Has anyone else had this same problem?

Thanks

The truck has about 11,200 miles roughly on it.

I sure hope that's the only problem as it is VERY coincidental that they did engine service (changed the oil) and now it's doing that. I can't say that I've ever read here where an engine mount has 'gone out'...

G'luck man!

I am hoping thats is all they screwed up on my truck.

They ran every possible test they could on it yesterday and this is all they came up with. Nothing else came back.

I treat my truck like it is a part of me. Mess with my truck and you got one pissed off wife.

This is my first truck and I can finally say it is mine not my hubbys.

Sorry had to vent.

To top it off I was suppose to ship it next Monday back to the states. So now I have to cancel the ship date and hope that the truck will be shipped next week sometime. We are PCSing for the military folk out there.

When it rains it poors. Wish me luck.

Truck is running fine now

Sorry it took me awhile to post a follow up reply. We are in the middle of a move.

The truck is running fine now. No more vibration.

Here's what they did. Took 2 days.

They replaced the manifold gasket, support arm assembly, oil filter assembly, replaced both front motor mounts, lubed everything necessary.

Thanks for all the help. See you guys and gals once we get settled in.

Sounds like a bad coil pack to me. I would have them check that out before replacing motor mounts.
